Under historic beams
Licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 150 guests, the Hay Barn offers a beautiful indoor setting filled with warmth, character and natural light. Its timber beams, elegant aisle and large picture window create a romantic atmosphere in every season.
The space is thoughtfully restored to combine historic charm with modern comfort, allowing you to exchange vows surrounded by family and friends in a setting that feels both timeless and welcoming.
Between the Essex and Hay Barns stands the Saddlery, a licensed outdoor ceremony space with cedar benches, a limestone aisle path and a rustic canopy overhead. It is an idyllic spot to exchange vows under the sky, with your guests gathered around you on the lawn.
The Saddlery is yours for the whole day too. It works beautifully as a drinks station, a stage for live music during the reception, or a space for a children’s entertainer if little ones are on the guest list.
