The Old Coach House is where the wedding truly begins. A beautifully restored cottage where the wedding party can arrive the night before, settle in, and enjoy a calm, relaxed start to the day.
The Old Coach House has been thoughtfully renovated to give the wedding party everything they need on the eve of a big day. On the ground floor you will find a welcoming sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen and a large dedicated dressing room fitted with seating, lit mirrors, dressing tables and its own hair washing facilities. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms: one double and two twin rooms, all furnished in a fresh, English country styling, with a shared bathroom featuring a roll top bath and large shower.
It is the kind of place you arrive at excited for what is to come, and leave with your bridal party feeling calm, prepared and full of anticipation for your wedding day.
Getting ready
On the morning of the wedding, the dressing room in the Old Coach House becomes the heart of the day. Spacious, well lit and designed with wedding parties in mind, it is where the curlers go in, the veil goes on and someone inevitably loses a cufflink. It has everything you need and a good amount of room for the entire bridal party to get ready and pose for photos.
And while the bride gets ready in the Old Coach House, the Potting Shed in the grounds is available for the other partner and a few others, meaning both sides can arrive at the barns calm, comfortable and looking picture perfect.
The Old Coach House is available to book for the night before your wedding and can be enjoyed through to checkout the following day. The cottage sleeps up to seven guests across three bedrooms and the dressing room downstairs has been set up with everything the morning requires: two lit dressing tables, plenty of hanging space for gowns, a hair washing station and a good stock of fluffy towels. A complimentary breakfast is included the following morning, so there is no rush to be anywhere.

Your wedding night
Included in every Blake Hall wedding, Stable Cottage is reserved exclusively for the couple on the night of their wedding. Tucked quietly into the grounds and finished to the highest standard, it has a sitting room with french windows onto a private terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a beautifully dressed bedroom and a luxurious en suite bathroom.
There are no taxis to book, no hotels to check into and no rush in the morning. Stable Cottage is available until midday the following day and comes with a continental breakfast, so your first morning as a married couple can be exactly as slow and unhurried as it deserves to be.

For guests who want to stay nearby, there are several well regarded hotels, B and Bs and pubs with rooms within easy reach of Blake Hall. Blake Hall is also happy for cars to be left in the car park overnight, with the gates reopening the following morning between nine and midday.
